    Cheddar man

      a human of the Mesolithic period whose fossilized remains were found in a cave in Cheddar Gorge in the English county of Somerset in 1903. Cheddar man is the oldest complete skeleton found in Britain, and represents a hunter-gatherer population predating the introduction of agriculture.
